Welcome to Kijo Kijo is meant to bring out the best in you. Kijo uplifts your spirit, challenges your body and fills you with confidence. Kijo is specifically designed to help you live comfortably in your whole body... your skin, bones, muscles, fascia, tendons, joint and ligaments... and most importantly, helping you recognize your body as a powerful path to a peaceful, rested mind. Kijo Classes are one hour of cardiovascular training. Unlike most cardio programs, Kijo is where you focus on your personal needs in the spirit of free open dance, guided choreography, stamina building, adjustable interval training, creative weight lifting and affirmations to keep your spirit soaring and your energy moving. It encourages you to hold the energies of gratitude and thanks for your very existence and the life you have created. I have most recently expanded Kijo beyond my fitness/wellness program to offer students and celebrants of life more spiritual focused practices: "Kijo Body Meditation" and "Kijo Ceremony and Ritual" ...where sacred movement, fitness and ritual practices fuse together... with the intent of assisting students to build more heart felt relationships with our earth, each other and themselves. Kijo Body Meditation is a revolutionary, ground breaking approach to a deep, alpha trance meditation leading students through a series of guided stretches, sacred movement, breathing techniques, hand mudras and loving affirmations. Kijo Body Meditation opens your body up to new sensations, allows your kundalini to flow and your body tensions to melt away for the ultimate mind-body meditation. "Kijo Ceremony and Ritual", most recently celebrated at the "Oakland Center for Spiritual Living", was a calling to all ShaMAN's & Medicine WoMEN to the experience of ritual, circle, blessings, community and thanksgiving in a special enchanted evening of Earthdancing. Our time together included gestures of homage to our planet, trance dancing, circling, blessings to all of the directions, a spirit stretch and a quite group consciousness intention meditation.
